FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Nassau County man is accused of driving drunk and broadcasting himself over the Internet.

New York State Police say an Oyster Bay resident was stopped after authorities received multiple calls of an erratic driver on Long Island.

State Police say that while Ahmed Almalki, 33, was driving drunk on Ocean Parkway, he was also broadcasting his travels on Periscope.

Troopers say they were able to use the live video to find Almalki and stop him near Hempstead Turnpike.

After failing sobriety tests, Almalki was charged with felony DWI and four traffic violations, according to State Police. Almalki had been convicted of DWI in the last 10 years.

He was held for arraignment in Nassau County First District Court.
