Baystate Franklin Medical Center receives $1.8 million grant

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission presented a $1.8 million grant to Baystate Franklin Medical Center on Friday as part of a new program called CHART.

The grant will look to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare services throughout the area.

Baystate Medical Center’s CEO Tom Higgins said the grant will provide local residents the medical attention they need. “The support is out there in the community but this grant helps tie it all together anad take that vulnerable population of individuals and give them the help they need,” said Higgins.

The grant will also fund a team of care providers to work with patients on their health, hoping to reduce their time at the hospital.
