(KRIS) Medical experts say they’re seeing more people between the age of 18 and 35 suffering strokes, and the prime cause is stress.
At 32 years old, Fred Saunders had a stroke in the middle of a gym as he worked out with a friend.
There weren’t any warning signs and his family didn’t have any medical conditions. Fred said he was eating right and working out regularly and admits, he never thought his health was in any sort of danger so when he started feeling the symptoms of what would later be deemed a stroke, he says he initially thought he was just tired.
“I thought I almost fell and I thought I needed to take a nap because I was tired and I was just getting ready to do a fitness competition so I just thought I was tired,” Saunders said.
