CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – With the temperatures dipping below zero one weekend, then in the 50s the next, 22News is working for you with some ways to cut your energy costs.
Start with your doors and windows, making sure there’s no leaks or drafts. If you’re home is old or outdated, poor insulation can allow heat or cool air to escape. You can also replace outdated furnaces and water heaters. Mass Save, an initiative sponsored by Massachusetts natural gas and electric providers, will actually give you a rebate if you buy an energy-efficient model.
A “Mass Save” technician will also come to your home and give you a free energy audit, and show you how you can save on your bills. They’ll also replace old light bulbs with energy-efficient ones.
