10 arrested, 2 from Mass., in a Hartford prostitution bust

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford Police arrested ten people this week after an investigation into prostitution in the area.

Police said the East Central Narcotics Taskforce set up a buy/bust operation in the capitol region area targeting “Johns” soliciting prostitutes. Officers said they learned of an increase of “Johns” engaging in the illegal solicitation of prostitutes, and of related narcotic activity.

Undercover officers arranged to meet with “Johns” who then offered the officer money in exchange for sexual actions. Police arrested and charged the following individuals:

  2. Vishaldeep Singh, 22, of Vernon, CT
    Charges: Patronizing a Prostitute
  3. Augustine OGrady, 67, of Florence, MA
    Charges: Patronizing a Prostitute
  4. Elvis Martinez, 38, of Manchester, CT
    Charges: Patronizing a Prostitute
  5. Gurpheet Singh, 24, of Vernon, CT
    Charges: Patronizing a Prostitute, Interfering with Police
  6. Konrad Mataszuk, 28, of New Britain, CT
    Charges: Patronizing a Prostitute
  7. Brendan Rogowaski, 39, of Southwick, MA
    Charges: Promoting Prostitution
  8. Jessica Schoner, 29, of Hartford, CT
    Charges: Prostitution, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  9. Kaitlyn Walker, 22, of Brooklyn, NY
    Charges: First-degree Failure to Appear
  10. Chuncy Webb, 29, of Hartford, CT
    Charges: Third-degree Promoting Prostitution
    Interfering With an Officer
    Criminal Possession of a Firearm
    Carrying a Firearm Without a Permit
    Weapons in a Motor Vehicle
    Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine
    Possession of Cocaine

Officers seized approximately $1,500 cash, one 9mm Semi-Automatic Pistol, one magazine, and 13 rounds of ammunition in this investigation.
