AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – As the temperature started to warm up throughout western Mass., Tuesday night, strong winds caused some tree damage.
In Amherst, the wind knocked down a big tree that reportedly damaged a car. The tree stretched all the way across South East Street.
When 22News arrived, a bulldozer was being used to clear all the debris. Within a matter of seconds, crews were able to lift the entire tree and get all the sticks and branches off the ground.
The road was closed for a short time Tuesday night but has since reopened.
