Farm animals meet the candidates in New Hampshire

Farming issues are important in first primary state

MANCHESTER, N.H. (WWLP) – Just as the candidates want to meet voters, voters want to meet the candidates before they head to the polls in New Hampshire Tuesday.

22News reporter Kait Walsh found farm animals outside the media hotel in Manchester Monday morning. The farmer who brought them said that she wanted to show the candidates that farming issues matter to the voters.

Inside the hotel, 22News questioned three Republican candidates in about 10 minutes. Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, and Carly Fiorina were all there, and Christie and Bush even had a friendly interaction. You will hear more about that, and about a rally in Nashua for Bernie Sanders that was attended by some Donald Trump supporters, on 22News tonight starting at 5:00.
