SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) – We’ve been reporting how it’s been a deadly weekend for heroin overdoses here in the Pioneer Valley.
But emergency responders in Southwick can be credited with saving a life.
This weekend they were called to Eagle Street and found a 30 year old man in a bathroom suffering the effects of a heroin overdose.
They gave the man two doses of Narcan, the life saving overdose drug that can reverse the deadly effects of opioids. On the way to Noble Hospital, the man’s condition began to improve.
It’s the second life saved by Southwick first responders over the past few days.
