Woman walked out of Walgreens with an arm-load of merchandise

The woman threatened the clerk and drove off in a silver Nissan

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police were searching for a woman who robbed the Walgreens at 1440 Boston Road, Friday night.

Springfield Police Lt. Philip Tarpey told 22News that a woman gathered up an arm-load of merchandise inside the Walgreens around 10:00 p.m. Friday, and as she walked out, announced to the clerk that she had no money.

“She threatened to hurt anyone who tried to stop her and she ran out of the store,” Lt. Tarpey said.

Lt Tarpey was unsure whether any weapon was displayed, but said, “if you threaten harm and put people in fear, that’s considered an armed robbery.”

No one was hurt. The woman drove away in a silver Nissan.
