Pet of the Week: Princess Peach

Princess Peach, a 2-month-old kitten, is looking for her forever home. Lee Chambers, Marketing & Communications Manager for Dakin Humane Society, tells us Princess Peach is a female, black and white, Domestic Shorthair kitten.

Here’s Princess Peach! How cute is this little girl?  She’s a 2-month old kitten who is that great mix of sassy and sweet. Just like all other Dakin kitten adoptees, she comes with an assortment of essentials: rabies vaccine, neuter surgery, leukemia testing, distemper/upper respiratory vaccine, worming, flea treatment, ear mite treatment, safety collar and ID, plus MICROCHIP. She’s ready to come home and warm your heart!d the finest friend at your side for long walks. You will also be entertained as she attacks her squeak toys and plays fetch with you. This sweet girl has so much love to share and faces every day with joy. We hope you’ll want to share in that joy. Come meet her at our Springfield Adoption Center.

Beat the Heat – Thanks to a grant from PetSmart Charities, Dakin Humane Society will be performing a limited number (250) of $20 spay surgeries on female cats. To book quickly, it’s better to visit our Spay/Neuter Clinic in person at 171 Union Street in Springfield Monday through Saturday 9am – 3pm.  Otherwise, if you call and leave a message at 413.781.4019, it may take several days (due to the heavy call volume) for us to get back to you to confirm the appointment.   Most kittens 8-10 weeks old are eligible for this surgery, which is best conducted when they are young, as cats can reproduce at the age of 4 or 5 months old.
