CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Cold temperatures are the kind of weather we typically expect during the month of February, but four days into the month we continue to have unseasonably warm temperatures with highs making it up into the 50s and even 60s. That’s about 25 to 30 degrees above average.
While you might be thinking of spring, there is still plenty of winter left and the weather could change. Robert Durand of Chicopee said, “No I haven’t started planting anything like that yet not doing any gardening just kind of enjoying the warm weather until spring does come and I’ll start doing all those things”.
On average, our high temperature this time of year should be in the lower 30s and low temperatures are usually down in the mid-teens. Temperatures last night made it up into the mid and upper 50s.
