HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The AIDS foundation of Western Massachusetts once again hosted its VIVA! Gala at the Log Cabin in Holyoke Friday night.
This is VIVA! Gala’s 19th year raising money for people living with HIV and Aids in western Mass. The foundation consults with case managers who work directly with patients, to identify their needs and adjust their services regularly.
Sandi Coine of the foundation told 22News, “I think the most important thing right now is that the dialogue has to stay open. Because it’s no longer as often terminal as it’s been, it’s no less a disease that we can make an impact on.”
The event was emceed by Mass Appeal’s Ashley Kohl and Seth Stutman. The AIDS Foundation of Western Massachusetts has been providing services for 23 years.
