Fire chief stabbed in Denver

(KUSA) Police in Denver, Colorado are working to determine if the woman accused of stabbing Fire Chief Eric Tade Tuesday afternoon had any prior connection with the 24-year veteran of the department.

Marlene Zacevich-Rodriguez, 42, is being held on investigation of aggravated assault.

She allegedly attacked Tade while he was sitting in a parked car just after 1:30 p.m.

Police say Zacevich-Rodriguez jumped into his car and stabbed him.

Tade was able to get out of the car and walk to a nearby fire station, where he received some treatment before he was taken to Denver Health. He sustained minor injuries to his right leg and one of his hands, but was released from the hospital Tuesday night, according to Denver Fire.
