ROWE Mass. (WWLP) – The lower Pioneer Valley may have been lacking in snow this weekend, but it was a different story up the road in parts of Franklin County.
22News tracked down some of that snow in the Franklin County town of Rowe. Where residents of this town of fewer than 400 welcomed the kind of traditional winter they’ve been missing so far this year.
“Well I think “Ta Dah” it’s possibly long overdue. It’s been a very mild winter with very little snow. So there is a kind of a recent development and this particular snow is very wet.”
It wasn’t much snow, maybe an inch or so, but it gave the folks in Franklin County some hope that Western Massachusetts may yet have a real winter with substantial snowfall.
