CHICOPEE Mass. (WWLP) – In the Springfield area, Patriots fans packed the local bars to watch Saturday night’s game. 22News went to the Rumbleseat Bar in Chicopee where fans were glued to the TV’s with some wings and beer.
Patriot’s playoff games are always a big night for local bars and restaurants, who told 22News they enjoy this boost in business. It’s a tradition for many fans, who say they prefer to watch the game on television rather than pay so much money for a ticket.
We asked fans what it took for the Patriots to be this successful. Aaron Martell told 22News, “Perseverance. Brady stayed healthy. The rest of the team, maybe not. But we keep working.”
William Jackson said, “We had a lot of injuries all year. We got a lot of guys that back that we were not expecting. I see them out on the field and they are doing well so at the end of the day, the red, white and blue will be the last team standing.”
And there we’re plenty of HD-TV’s for fans to watch on. The Rumbleseat has 25 TV’s throughout the bar.
