CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Another bitter cold day in western Massachusetts where temperatures early Tuesday morning started off in the single digits. A light wind from the north is bringing in all of this arctic air and even though it is a light wind, it is certainly making a difference in our “feel” like temperatures.
Tuesday morning “feel” like temperatures will be feeling more like 5 and 6 below. As temperatures “warm” up into the mid to upper 20’s expect the “feel” like temperature to be in the upper teens and lower 20’s.
You need to be outside for longer than 30 minutes when we have light winds and cold temperatures such as these. If winds were more breezier that time would go down.
Make sure you are layered up throughout the day today, and no skin is exposed. Make sure time outside is limited on a day such as this.
Stay with the 22News Storm Team as they continue to track a warm up come Wednesday with temperatures back above average into the 40’s.
