CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – In western Massachusetts, the wind-chill and temperatures dipped well below zero this week.
If you have to be outside, make sure you’ve got your hat, scarf and gloves. And for parents, it’s important to make sure your kids are wearing multiple layers.
Louise Cardellina of AFC Doctors Express told 22News, “They are more susceptible to frostbite because of their smaller size. So the chance of getting cold would happen more readily.”
Cardellina recommends once your toddler is in a warm car, take off that bulky jacket. You want to make sure the car seat is snug against your child’s body for protection.
