SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The start of the New Year is a good time to start getting your child’s college finances in order.
FAFSA, the Federal Student Aid Form, is free and is first come first serve. That means the earlier you apply, the better chance you have of receiving aid and scholarships for you or your child.
Michael Maynard of Springfield told 22News, “I wouldn’t have gotten the scholarships I did if I had waited too long. So, it’s important to get them early. If I didn’t have those I would be very indebted.”
It’s important to remember, filling out the FAFSA form is free. Avoid any third party websites out there that try and charge you a fee to fill out the form.
