Three homeless after early morning fire in Springfield

The three people staying in the mobile home were not injured.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Three people are without a home after an early morning fire in Springfield Monday.

Springfield Fire Department spokesman, Dennis Leger, told 22News the fire happened just before 3:00 a.m. He said crews were able to put out the electrical fire at the mobile home at 42 Rest Way soon after it started but not before it did significant damage to the unit.

Leger said there were no injures and that the Red Cross is assisting the three people who had been staying at the home.
