SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – South Hadley Police and first responders were helping an accident victim whose car rolled over after hitting and snapping a utility police on Lyman Street, Monday night.
When 22News crew arrived on site, we found a car on its side, and the top of a utility pole dangling above the ground, held up by the wires.
South Hadley Fire Chief Robert Authier told 22News the woman who was driving the car was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Chief Authier added that Verizon crews were called in to raise the wires so the car could be safely removed. Lyman Street was closed near the intersection with Viviani Street while crews cleared the area..
