Sanders, Trump to host campaign rallies in Massachusetts

BOSTON (AP) — Two of the top candidates for president are planning to make campaign stops in Massachusetts in coming days.

On Saturday, Democrat Bernie Sanders is planning two events in the Bay State.

The first is a rally at the Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst at 1 p.m.

At 5 p.m., Sanders will hold a second rally at North High School in Worcester. Both event are free and open to the public.

Sanders’ campaign says he will discuss topics including getting big money out of politics, combating climate change, and making college affordable.

On Monday, Republican Donald Trump will headline a rally at the Tsongas Center at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.

The rally is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Massachusetts’s presidential primary takes place on Tuesday, March 1.
