Woman of the world Cate Blanchett took a tremendous risk beginning a back street affair with young and Impressionable Rooney Mara, but Blanchett need relief from an oppressive marriage.

“Carol” is much more than just a powerful drama exploring the Intimacy of these two women filling each other’s needs.

It’s a look back to a time when wives were hardly considered the equal of their overbearing husbands. We already know that Cate Blanchett’s among the world’s finest actresses.

Her performances are a constant Oscar threat. But it’s Rooney Mara who’s the real surprise. She brings her innocence to a complex world where heartache often comes with the territory.

Put yourself in the hands of Director Todd Haynes. He sweeps you up into the emotional turmoil of two women out of touch with their time.

“Carol” is that mature love story that’s so hard to find these days. Once you see this sublime film, you’ll see why “Carol” is a serious Oscar contender with 4 stars.

Only truly serious moviegoers will appreciate this spellbinding experience. What more can I say except Wow??????
