Man with gun robbed Chicopee convenience store

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in Chicopee need your help finding the person responsible for an overnight gas station robbery.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News that police were called to the Pride Station at 27 Montgomery Street shortly before 12:30 Wednesday morning. A clerk there told police that a man showed a black handgun, and stole cash and some items from the store. He ran off toward Grattan Street. No one was hurt.

Late Wednesday afternoon, Chicopee Police released surveillance video of the armed robbery.

The suspect was described as a muscular man about 6’ tall and with facial hair. He was wearing a New York Yankees jacket at the time of the robbery. Wilk says that police searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect.
