VIDEO: Hoverboard floors ex-champ Mike Tyson

Despite all the controversy surrounding the hoverboard, it was this season’s hottest holiday gift

(KRON) — Former heavyweight champ Mike Tyson took his first “L” in years to the undisputed king of TKOs, The Hoverboard.

The 49-year-old bruiser posted a video clip on his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon showing the moment he fell off his daughter’s self-balancing board.

“Seemed like a good idea to ride my daughter #milantyson #cyboard #hoverboard but guess not…,” he said on Twitter.

The video shows the 200-pounder gliding around inside a home, laughing and spinning around in circles. Tyson then rolls towards the camera person then falls flat on his back.

The 11-second clip cuts off right after he falls, so it’s unclear if he was hurt in the spill, but it appears he landed right on his coccyx. It’s unknown if the hoverboard survived.

Despite all the controversy surrounding the hoverboard, it was this season’s hottest holiday gift. Literally and figuratively. Not only were the boards hard to keep stocked, there were several reports that the toys were spontaneously bursting into flames.

One family was shocked when their brand new hoverboard exploded and caught fire inside their home Monday night. The girl testing out her early Christmas gift was able to move the flaming board off carpet before it exploded and caught on fire, which spread to the wall of the house.

Several retailers have halted nearly all sales of the board, and some airlines are banning them. In California, new hoverboard laws will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2016, including restricting riders to 16 years or older.
