Massive storms hamper holiday travelers

Hundreds of flights across the country cancelled

(NBC News) The massive storm system that pounded the middle of the country over the past few days has arrived in the Northeastern states, bringing snow, fog, and rain with it.

Travelers in New York City experienced cancellations and delays after sleet, fog, and rain gridlocked the city’s three airports.

“It’s just frustrating. I’ve been in New York for 12 years now. I hate to say it but it’s kind of par for the course every time there is bad weather,” said traveler Ian Roberts.

Parts of Massachusetts also felt the brunt of the storm, getting the first snow of the season just days after experiencing record high temperatures.
