HARTFORD, Conn. (WWLP) – People who have purchased tickets to see Janet Jackson in concert at the XL Center in Hartford will have to wait to see the pop icon. Jackson says that she was recently informed that she has to have surgery, and as such, is postponing her Unbreakable World Tour.

Jackson did not disclose exactly what type of surgery she requires, but in a statement said that she asks for the prayers of her fans. She added, however, that she is going to be allright.

The tour is being rescheduled, though exact dates have not yet been set. According to the XL Center’s website, ticket holders may keep their tickets (the Hartford performance was scheduled for February 27), which will be valid for the rescheduled tour date. They may also receive refunds at the point of purchase.

For more information for ticket holders, visit the XL Center website.
