2 truck crashes caused delays on Mass Pike in Berkshires

No injuries reported in either accident in Becket

BECKET, Mass. (WWLP) – Two tractor trailer crashes made a slow ride even slower on the Massachusetts Turnpike in the long stretch between Exits 2 and 3.

According to Massachusetts State Police, the Tuesday morning accidents were on the eastbound side of the highway in the Berkshire County town of Becket. No injuries were reported.

Only the right travel lane was open near the 16 mile marker, but all lanes are now open in the area. You can track travel conditions in real time using our Live Traffic Map.

Meanwhile, state police have reduced the speed limit on the Mass Pike down to 40 miles per hour between the New York state line and Exit 9 in Sturbridge. They have also banned all tandem tractor trailers or propane tankers between the New York line and Exit 6 in Chicopee.
