WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – There’s just one place to be for Western Massachusetts “Star Wars” fans this weekend, and that’s at a theater near them showing the eagerly awaited “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
At the Cinemark theaters in West Springfield, if fans weren’t watching the movie in one of the five theaters set aside for “Stars Wars”, they were in line waiting for their show to begin.

Early this evening Richard Vega of Chicopee waited to see the movie for the fourth time since the film previewed on Thursday. Vega said, “It brings me, you know, joy, It brings me something that fulfills my life a little bit of purpose. When it comes to the movies, people have been waiting for a movie of this caliber for ‘Star Wars’ fans since the original trilogy.”
Richard Vega said he also saw each film from the original trilogy as many as ten times each.
