SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield teachers marked the three-year anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School Massacre in Newtown, Connecticut on Monday.
Teachers from the Rebecca Johnson School gathered at Springfield City Hall and walked to the middle of the Memorial Bridge, where they observed a moment of silence.
They then released 20 green balloons, one for each of the children killed at Sandy Hook, and six white balloons for each of the teachers.
