COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Firefighters have contained a fire at a west side warehouse, but say it will still be hours before it is completely out.
Firefighters were sent to the building on the 2600 block of Fisher Road in Columbus at 3:29 a.m. Monday after a call from an alarm company.
More than two-dozen fire trucks and 75 firefighters were sent to help fight the fire.
Just after 4 a.m., firefighters said the roof of the building was in danger of collapse, forcing crews to leave the building.
Firefighters on the scene say that they are having problems getting enough water to put on the fire.
Battalion Chief Tracy Smith tells NBC4 no hazardous material is inside the building and there is no potential for an explosion. The building contains mostly lawn work equipment, pallets and cardboard.
No injuries were reported.
