Surveillance footage shows man accused of robbing Subway with needle

SOUTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Southampton police have released video of a suspect they say held up a Subway sandwich shop with a hypodermic needle. According to a news release sent to 22News by Southampton police, the restaurant at 161 College Highway was robbed at around 4:15 P.M. Tuesday.

A store employee told police that a white man wearing dark sunglasses and a black hooded sweatshirt pulled out a hypodermic needle and held it up to the clerk- demanding all the money in the cash register.

The suspect, described as being 45-50 years old, made a getaway after the clerk surrendered the cash.
