More than $400 in electric toothbrushes stolen from CVS

SUFFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) – More than $400 worth of electric toothbrushes were seized by Suffield, Connecticut police, as they arrested a man and a woman in a drugstore shoplifting case. The department posted on their official Facebook page that Robert Whitehurst, 34, and Lyrisa Whitehurst, 27, both of Springfield are facing charges in connection with the theft Tuesday.

The department says that an off-duty police officer noticed a woman (later identified as Lyrisa Whitehurst) stealing items from the CVS on Mountain Road (Route 168). He also saw her run out of the store and into a waiting car in the parking lot.

Police were able to pull the car over a short distance away, and they discovered that the couple had stolen electric toothbrushes on them, with a total value of $437.79.

Lyrisa Whitehurst is being charged with 6th degree larceny, while Robert Whitehurst is charged with conspiracy to commit larceny.
