HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A special tree lighting ceremony was held Thursday at the Holyoke Mall to benefit the Holyoke VNA Hospice Life Care.
The “Light Up A Life 2015” community memorial celebration and tree lighting ceremony allowed people to honor living and deceased family members who have received Hospice care.
Stars that can be purchased in memory of a loved one are placed on the Hospice Life Care Memorial Tree.
Over the years Hospice Life Care has provided care and support to many families. “They were there 24 hours 7 days a week they, really mean it. They treated my mom with dignity and respect and we are just so grateful and encourage people to support Hospice Life Care,” said Nelida Candelario whose mother received hospice care.
22News morning anchor Rich Tettemer emceed the tree lighting ceremony. Hospice Life Care has been providing care to terminally ill patients and their families in Hampden and Hampshire Counties for over 24 years.
