Multi-car crash backed up Route 202 in Holyoke

No serious injuries reported in morning crash near Westfield line

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – People driving between Westfield and Holyoke had to deal with delays for part of the Tuesday morning commute, due to a three-car crash on Route 202.

The accident, which took place just east of the city line, had traffic heavily backed up in both directions. Our 22News crew could see police officers allowing only one lane of traffic to pass at a time.

The crash had been cleared before 8:30 A.M., and traffic is now moving again in the area.

Holyoke Police Lt. Michael McCoy told 22News that there were no serious injuries reported in the crash. There is no official word at this time on what caused the accident.
