HOLYOKE Mass. (WWLP) – It’s still not too late to buy a frozen Turkey. But be prepared to spend a good part of Wednesday night thawing the bird for Thanksgiving Day.
A few helpful tips from the kitchen staff at Delaney House restaurant in Holyoke.
Kitchen director Eric Damkoehler told 22News, thawing your Turkey under cold water could take up to five hours. “You can also thaw it in the microwave slowly, a little bit at a time. If you thaw it in the Microwave, you’ll want to cook it immediately after that starts to cook the process.”
Damkoehler told 22News that, Just in case your turkey’s not completely thawed by Thanksgiving, he advises you to keep it in the oven longer than recommended.
