Last minute Thanksgiving desserts

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal)  Just find out that you’re hosting Thanksgiving?  Looking for a last minute dessert?  Chef John Slattery, General Manager and Head Chef at Papp’s Bar and Grill showed us some ideas.

Mini Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:
1 box refrigerated pie crust (2 crusts in a box)
1 (15 oz) can pureed pumpkin
2 eggs
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp table salt
Plus whipped cream for topping

 

Guiltless Berry Mousse:

  • Low fat yogurt
  • Low fat non dairy whipped topping
  • Jam

Gramcracker Crust:

  • Gram Crackers
  • Butter
  • Instant pudding

Icebox Apple Cream Pie

  • Apple Pie Filling
  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Cup powdered sugar
  • Teaspoon vanilla
  • Cups heavy cream
  • Graham crackers
  • Cinnamon
  • Decorative sugar

 

Bread Pudding

  • Bread cubes
  • French Toast Batter: eggs, sugar, cream, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla
  • Chocolate Crisped Rice Cereal
  • Marsh-mellow Sand which Spread
