CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – Our series on caring for your aging parent or loved one continues with a discussion on home safety. Home can be a very dangerous place for our aging loved ones. Alan Popp, President of Colony Care at Home  and Donna O’Hara, CareTenders Home Health Services join us to share resources and advice.

Some examples of danger:
Stairway with no rail, plus trip hazard.
Open stairway to basement
Homemade wheelchair ramp
Personally transporting invalid
No rails in the bathroom
Throw Rugs
