SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A long-time western Massachusetts holiday tradition is now open for this holiday season.
650,000 lights will illuminate a three-mile path at Forest Park in Springfield. With the flip of the switch, Bright Nights at Forest Park opened for its 21th season.
Nearly four million people have come to see this spectacular light display since it first opened in 1995. This year should be brighter than ever. The Springfield Park Division staff replaced 40,000 bulbs before opening night.
Bright Nights runs through to January 3rd, but closed November 30th and December 1st. There is discounted admission for opening night, Wednesday, November 25th. Prices will be rolled back to six dollars per car. That was the admission price in 1995.
