Greenfield Police looking for suspect in business burglary

GREENFIELD, MASS. (WWLP) – Police are looking for a suspect who was caught on surveillance cameras breaking into and stealing from a local business.

Lieutenant William Gordon from the Greenfield Police Department told 22News the suspect entered through the window of Auto Trim and Sign on 24 Place Terrace by pushing in an air conditioner. He said it happened at 12:34 a.m. on October 17.

According to the Greenfield Police Department’s Facebook, the suspect is described as a heavy-set white man who is approximately 5’8”. He was wearing a plain hooded sweatshirt and dark pants at the time of the break-in.

Gordon said the suspect had taken the business’ surveillance camera with him when he left, but not the tape which records footage.
