Nashville man, woman in Paris at time of attacks

PARIS (WKRN) — As many as 120 people were killed in multiple attacks in Paris, France on Friday.

The biggest terror took place at the Bataclan theater, where a band called the Eagles of Death Metal were set to play Friday night.

Julian Dorio, who lives in Nashville with his wife, is currently touring with the band.

Dorio’s brother told News 2 affiliate WSB-TV “The whole band heard the gunshots before they saw anything and stopped playing, hit the deck, and exited as fast as they could.”

Though Dorio is safe, the band posted this on their Facebook page:

The Bataclan is just blocks away from the office of Liz Garrigan, who moved to Paris from Nashville about five years ago.

News 2’s Bob Mueller spoke with Garrigan via FaceTime.

“The city is on lockdown. The city is under curfew. We were home thank God but this is just a nightmare,” she said.

Garrigan and her family were safe from the attacks.
