BOSTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Fast food workers plan to join the largest-ever strike to hit America’s fast food industry, with walkout planned for a record 270 cities on Tuesday, including Boston.

Following the strike, home care, retail, restaurant workers and more will rally at Boston’s Faneuil Hall before marching on the State House.

The workers are demanding elected leaders stand up for a $15-dollar minimum wage and union rights.

Workers from other communities in the Common Wealth, including Springfield, are planning to travel to Boston today for the day of action.
