Creative uses for leftover Halloween candy

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – With all of that Halloween candy leftover, why not discover fun and resourceful things to do with it! Local Blogger NJ Rongner from ACookieBeforeDinner.com joined us with ideas!

Uses for Halloween Candy

1. Candy can be sorted into groups by using a plastic sandwich bag. Start by giving each kid a bag and telling them to choose 10 (15, 20 you can pick the number) pieces that are THEIR special ones.

2. Then, talk about some of the other times it is fun to have candy:
Road Trip
Movie Night at Home

Give your kids a plastic baggie and tell them to fill for those occasions.

3.Think forward to other times you need candy:
to fill a pinata
decorate a gingerbread house

4. Other things to do with your candy:
gift it! allergy friendly pieces to a friend
leave some for the mail man
leave some for the garbage man

5. Send it to our troops.
