Memorial Ave. Rotary ramps to reopen Tuesday morning

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)– Lane and ramp closures on the Memorial Avenue Rotary are scheduled to reopen Tuesday morning.

The rotary which connects Memorial Ave. in West Springfield to the Memorial Bridge was down to one lane overnight Monday. The on and off ramps to Route 5 North were also closed for construction.

The closures are scheduled to reopen by 7 A.M. Tuesday, according to the MassDOT.
The closures are all part of the ongoing construction project there that has been causing on and off lane closures since early summer.

This project is replacing nearly 60 year old bridge decks on the rotary, but this project has run significantly longer than originally scheduled. At the start of this summer the MassDOT told 22News the project would be complete by the end of August, but now they expect work and more lanes closures to continue through November.
