SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The United States Air Force Concert Band and the “Singing Sergeants” National Tour stopped in Springfield Tuesday night.
They dedicated Tuesday’s performance at the Springfield Symphony Hall to Springfield Native, Marine Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Sullivan. GySgt. Sullivan was murdered in an attack on a Marine recruiting station this summer.
Brigadier General Gary Keefe called it another “excellent benefit” hosted by the city. He said, “They’ve always gone out of their way to show their appreciation to the nation’s service men and women. And this is just another example of that.”
22News Anchor Juliana Mazza had the privilege of serving as Emcee for Tuesday’s emotional and moving performance. The concert was sponsored by Mercy Medical Center and The Spirit of Springfield.
