Friends locate missing college student using app

He claims his injuries were the result of a mugging

(WXIA) – Authorities say a Georgia Tech student missing since Friday has been found thanks in large part to the efforts of his friends and fellow students.

James Hubert was found Monday morning along railroad tracks seven miles from where he was last seen by friends.

Emma Jeffery, a former classmate of Hubert, and other friends used the “Find my iPhone” app to track down Hubert, who they found face-down on the ground near railroad tracks.

He was taken to Grady Hospital to be evaluated for hypothermia and other injuries that he claims were the result of a mugging.
