Windsor Locks set to hear airport casino proposal

WINDSOR LOCKS, Ct. (WWLP) – Windsor Locks town offcials will hear a casino proposal from Bradley International Airport officials at a special meeting next week.

Windsor Locks First Selectman Steven Wawruck told 22News airport officials approached the town about submitting a casino proposal to the tribes that run Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods.

Wawruck said the airport’s proposal would build a casino on the former site of the Murphy Terminal (Terminal B).

The tribes have set a November 6th deadline to receive proposals. East Hartford and East Windsor have also expressed interest in submitting proposals.
