GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Many people in Franklin County are spending their Columbus Day enjoying the fall foliage.
Franklin County is a popular spot for tourism Columbus Day weekend. People come from all over the world come to see the different color leaves that are unique to New England.
22News spoke with Elaine Perreault of Shelburne who said she loves this time of year because of the foliage. “I absolutely adore it. This is my favorite season here, especially coming up this way, coming up north a little bit and checking out the foliage. It’s a beautiful creation that God gave us and I absolutely adore it,” she said.
Not all of the leaves have changed colors yet. Foliage season usually peaks towards the end of October and beginning of November.
