Pound of marijuana seized in Monson drug bust

Suspect also had a starter pistol, which he claimed was for protection

MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – A 20-year-old man from Monson was arrested Thursday afternoon after an investigation into drug activity in the Dave Grieve Park area.

According to Monson Police Chief Stephen Kozloski, at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, officers raided an apartment at 192 Main Street; Devron N. Trott was arrested.

Officers seized about 1lb of marijuana, 5oz of hashish, amphetamines, scales, cell phones, and over $600 in cash. Chief Kozloski added that the officers found a starter pistol, which Trott allegedly claimed he carried for protection after being robbed during a drug deal.

Trott is being charged with the following:

  • Possession of over 1oz of marijuana
  • Possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a Class C substance with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute
