EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Traffic was moving again on Route 10 in Easthampton Wednesday night after an accident involving a car and a motorcycle closed a section of Northampton Street for three hours.
A dispatcher who answered the telephone at Easthampton Police Headquarters confirmed for 22News that police had closed part of Northampton Street “from the old Fedor’s dealership to Lyman Street.”
A viewer submitted a photograph through our Report-it feature. The photo showed a passenger vehicle with significant front end damage, and a motorcycle on its side. The vehicles were on opposite sides of the street.
Police provided no other information, regarding the collision or the extent of injuries suffered by any victims. The vehicles collided some time around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.
The dispatcher told 22News the road re-opened just after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
