2 suspects arrested in Holyoke shooting; search continues for 3rd

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke and State Detectives arrested two men, Tuesday morning, suspected of shooting a teenager on Maple Street last month.

According to Holyoke Police Lt. Jim Albert, detectives arrested 37-year-old Jose Santiago and 18-year-old Orlando Santiago, both of Holyoke, on Porter Street in Springfield, at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Both suspects are accused of shooting a 17-year-old Holyoke man in the area of Maple and Sargeant Streets on Friday, September 25th. Lt. Albert said the teen sustained non-life threatening injuries from a gunshot wound.

Jose and Orlando will be arraigned in Holyoke District Court on Wednesday.

Lt. Albert also added that detectives are still searching for a third suspect, 25-year-old Luis David Santiago-Gonzalez of Holyoke. Luis is considered armed and dangerous, so if you see him call 911 or contact your Police Department.
